In August 2014, HostVentures.com, Inc. became VIMRO, LLC. The name change did not happen by accident, but rather by careful design and years of development from a hosting company to a full service Advanced Security and Networking Services provider.

THE HISTORY

Founded in August 2002 with its headquarters in Baltimore, Maryland, the company operated in datacenters in Maryland, Virginia, Florida, Nevada, and Arizona. Initially starting out as a hosting and colocation company for websites and web applications, HostVentures quickly developed into a provider of high-availability dedicated hosting infrastructures for companies requiring 100% uptime. The company designed, built, and deployed dedicated, fast, and responsive networks load balanced amongst multiple datacenters.

In 2005, the company added a Professional Services and Consulting Group in response to our clients’ requests to integrate the hosting networks with their core business operations and systems. Over the next several years, the company added a nationwide Network Field Operations Group responsible for datacenter moves, set ups, and take downs. For clients with multiple datacenters and operational offices located nationwide, the field operations team now manages the IT infrastructure at hundreds of locations throughout the United States.

An in-house Recruiting Group was established in 2012 to find and recruit talent to fuel the tremendous growth and demand for our services.

In 2012, an Advanced Security Group was formally established to complement the Networking Group and focus on continuous protection of our clients’ systems. With the convergence of cloud technologies and hybrid infrastructures, our Network and Security engineers now deploy, manage, and secure private cloud networks.
